The Department of Transport Planning at SPA Delhi is presently involved in an Indo-Norwegian CLIMATRANS research project led by Prof. Sanjay Gupta which focuses on transport policies for mitigation of climate change impact in transport sector wherein the areas of shared & electric mobility have a strong policy input in evolving a climate friendly and sustainable mobility ecosystem for Delhi by 2030 & 2050. The Centre for shared and Electric Mobility Studies draws support from CLIMATRANS research project findings besides numerous research efforts being pursued in the Department in the field of shared and electric mobility including doctoral research and Master’s thesis works.

Objectives

  • To understand policy and applied research in the field of shared and electric mobility.
  • To build and enhance capacity of professionals and policy makers involved in field of shared and electric mobility.
  • To network with global academic institutions in order to share research, explore collaborative partnerships and evolve innovative sustainable mobility solutions with focus on shared and electric mobility.
  • To act as a knowledge bub in field of shared and electric mobility for the benefit of researchers, practitioners and policy makers through dissemination of various research activities carried out in the Centre.
